Every program is personalized based on your goals, ability, lifting experience and your current lifestyle. Our focus is to build a strong foundation to avoid injures and at the same time help you lose/gain weight, burn body fat, improve muscular endurance, gain muscular strength, and increase flexibility.

Body fat measurements, muscular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility is tested every two to four weeks. Our goal is to track your achievements but at the same time adjust your program so you can continue to see fitness results and continue to learn about your body.

We will provide you with information and tips in order for you to make correct daily food choices. Fueling your body with the right amount of macro-nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) is crucial for improving your overall performance.

RJ is certified through NSCA as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science. This lead him to work with the USF Basketball Strength and Conditioning team, Prime Physical Therapy, and corporate gyms.

His every day motivation comes from being able to help his clients achieve their personal goals and live a healthier / injury free life.


Srdjan graduated from the University of South Florida with his B.S. Degree in Exercise Science. Over the years, he has worked with Prime Physical Therapy and corporate gyms in the area. Srdjan’s motivation is to make a positive impact in the community. Being a former college basketball player, Srdjan has a huge passion for sports performance and helping athletes achieve their highest potential on and off the court/field.

I began working out regularly, as a teenager, but as life goes on my regular workouts turned into diaper changes, then karate practice, then football practice—and well, you get the picture. My focus shifted away from myself and more towards raising children. After 26 years, I was ready to do something for ME. That is where Bay Area Sports Performance and Fitness comes in the picture. I began working with RJ 11 months ago with the goals in mind to lose body fat, increase muscle and build up my strength. I cannot lie… I struggle at following the meal plan and staying on track on the weekend, but I hear RJ’s voice in my head every time I want to stray. He is always checking up on me and making sure that I am staying on track. RJ and Srdjan truly know what they are doing. Diet and nutrition is a science and they design a plan that is exactly right for you. Not only are they great at getting your nutrition on point, but they want to ensure that you avoid injury at all costs. Two months into my fitness journey I suffered a neck and shoulder injury from a fall at home. RJ was able to help me through physical therapy and modified my routine to push me past the pain and get me on the road to recovery. We were able to do this while I continued to lose weight. If 2020 hadn’t already thrown me a few curveballs, COVID hit… and AGAIN, these guys sent us workouts to do at home and checked in to make sure we were staying on track as best we could. Bottom line—they CARE. RJ and Srdjan are passionate about what they do and it shows in the results of their clients. If you are looking for a social gym, this place is not the place for you, but if you want a workout family who will stick by your side to ensure all your goals are met… then you have found the right place. I pass by at least 10 gyms, at minimum, on my drive to get to Bay Area Sports and I have no doubt that I have chosen the right gym for me.

My Name is Kasey. I’m 14 years old and I train at Bay Area Sports Performance and Fitness. The motivation to start this journey was to get better at my goals in life. One of my biggest achievements was touching a rim, getting stronger and improving my overall fitness. Advice I would give to new members would be to work hard and trust the process. One of my favorite things is that they treat you like family.
